Natural, documentary photography for brands, weddings, and families.
I’m Sarah — a Midwest photographer and visual storyteller.
I was born and raised in Michigan and have always been drawn to being outside — road trips, mountains, and long hikes. That connection to people and environment naturally shaped the way I photograph. I don’t see photos as poses; I see them as moments happening in a place that matters to you.
I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Photography and have spent more than 12 years behind the camera photographing families, events, weddings, and businesses. Alongside photography, I’ve worked in marketing and creative environments, which shapes how I approach commercial and brand work. Business photography isn’t just about attractive images — it’s communication. Your photos should reflect your brand voice, connect with your audience, and work across your website, social media, and marketing.
My style is documentary at heart. I work calmly and unobtrusively, noticing interactions as they unfold and capturing genuine expressions and real working moments. I’ll guide you when needed- especially for portraits and headshots, My goal is always to help you feel comfortable enough to forget the camera is there.
One of the greatest privileges of this work is being invited into people’s lives and workplaces- milestones, celebrations, growing families, and the businesses people have built from the ground up. You don’t need to know how to pose or what to do. My job is to remove that pressure so you can focus on what you’re there for.
At the end of the day, I want your photographs to feel honest- images that work for your life, your memories, or your business, not just something created for the camera.
